Edison's Game-Changing Decision: The Birth of Modern Electricity
It was a chilly winter evening in 1879 when Thomas Edison, the renowned inventor and businessman, received an unexpected visit from a mysterious stranger. The visitor, dressed in a long black coat and a wide-brimmed hat, introduced himself as "Mr. Smith" and claimed to have a revolutionary new invention that could change the world.
Edison, who had just returned from a grueling day at his laboratory, was skeptical but intrigued by the stranger's claim. He invited Mr. Smith into his study and listened intently as he explained the details of his invention: a machine that could generate electricity without the need for a steam engine or other external power source.
Edison was fascinated by the possibilities of such an invention, but he knew that it would be a daunting task to create something so revolutionary.
